Default So can I permanetly jailbreak+unlock my 3gs 3.1.2 or not?
I have been doing hours of research and do not see why this is not working.

I want to do an un-tethered jailbreak on my device.. Specs:
    3gs 32gb
    3.1.2 (7d11)

    sn: 879400qs3nr
    model: mb717ll
    05.11.07

I have to run blackrain befor each boot. And the icon does not appear on the iphone.

The reason im asking is because I have an iphone 3g, Made in the same week( week 40[sn:83840pfly7h]) and It has a permanent jailbreak with blackrain. But I cannot acomplish it on my 3gs.

    Any help?

The 3g and 3gs are two different animals. Since you have a week 40, it's a crapshoot. Blackrain it and see what happens.

no such thing as a perminate jailbreak. You have a tethered jailbreak on you 3gs. A no tethered jb will be coming in a few months.

The 3g never had an issue with a tethered jailbreak. Only the 3gs has that issue.
