    Default Downgrade 3G to 3.1.2 - problem
    Hello,

I tried to downgrade my 3G that currently runs 3.1.3 to 3.1.2. I downloaded the 3.1.2 ispw file and tried to recover pointing to that file. Everything seemed to work well but in the end I landed in recovery mode and iTunes gave me an error warning, it was error 1015 if I remember correctly.

How can I circumvent this error?

    Thanks.

Tried that, error message 1015 comes up again at the end of restore process. iPhone now shows the restore mode.

Maybe I did something wrong in putting it in DFU mode. Do I shut down iPhone, connect it to the computer, put it in DFU mode, and then start iTunes?

    Thanks

Yes doing it that way should work.

What version of iTunes are you using?

Try this. It should get the job done without downgrading
    Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 with Redsn0w 0.9.4 | Redmond Pie
I'll see if I can find a link for 0.9.4

    I'll try.
Just wondering: In other posts it was recommended to use 9.0.3.
    What do you think?

You can try using itunes 9.0.3. That may be what's causing the issues. Can't be sure though I haven't tried restoring a 3g using the new itunes yet.
