    Default How to downgrade iPhone 2G from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 on a Mac?
    So I updated iTunes to 9.1. I tried syncing and got my 2G iPhone into a corrupted state. So I had to wipe it and start fresh. However, iTunes forced me to install the newest version (at the time 3.1.3) of the iPhone OS. So now I've got iPhone OS 3.1.3 without the ability to jailbreak it.

    Do you know of a way to jailbreak my original iPhone running 3.1.3? Otherwise, how can I install iPhone OS 3.1.2 so I can jailbreak it again?

    Note: I am on a Mac, not Windows.

    1. 3.2 doesn't exist. (I'm guessing you mean 3.1.3)
    2. you can only downgrade if you have your SHSH files stored
    3. search

    Oops, sorry. Checked again. You're right, I'm running 3.1.3. Anyway...I've searched the web and can only find solutions that work on Windows. What should I do if I'm running on a Mac?

    @misbehavens

    download the 3.1.2 ipsw from this sites download section and use option+restore to point iTunes at it...make sure you use firefox or chrome to download it...once installed you can use redsn0w 0.9.2 to jailbreak and unlock (if needed)
