3G Unrestrictor and YourTube work, FinderMobile, gpSPhone, Flashlight, yFyLite, PkgBackup, Chronus, afc2add, OpenSSH, iRemix all work.

    SBRotator will force a restore.

SBSettings installs, but doesn't actually trigger the popup

And no matter what you do, do not install iRealSMS 3.0!!! Unfortunately some of its files are named the same as what 4.0 has changed its native SMS files to be named and so when I uninstalled it after it constant crashing on startup, it proceeded to delete the native text messaging app as well. Gotta love restoring after 3 hrs of inspecting and slowly customizing my new jailbreak

its actually really easy to tell which apps don't work on 4.0... just make sure the thing u want doesn't require mobile substrate and it should work!

Not true, at least two of the working things I listed are based on mobilesubstrate, and other things not requiring it have broken things, check before giving advice like that

Since ssh seems te be working: Would you be able to upload the musicplayer.app and mail.app located in Stash/Applications?

    Thanks

You could just extract them yourself from the IPSW, I don't really endorse the uploading of the firmware (or sections of it) to non-developers, but there's nothing stopping you if you have a copy of the IPSW and the decryption keys for the root filesystem

Does the address book crash for anyone else when you click on a name in the list? I'm not sure if this is a native issue or if I (very likely) screwed up one of the files.

  12. #2912
No crash here, so I suspect something's gone wrong locally on your device - does XCode spit anything out on the console if you do it while connected with Organiser open?

    @madon

I've got a feeling it has something to do with when I tried cyntact out yesterday as I remember it working the day before

  14. #2914
Sounds like a probable suspect, does uninstalling work for Cyntact?

None here, did you restore from backup, or set up as new?

    Restore and select new

  18. #2918
I'd try restoring the phone again, and if it still persists, I'd do a discharge test on the battery under the 3.1.x and the 4.0 firmwares and time the battery life (making sure everything else is identical between the tests, no additional apps installed, same content synced), also make sure you test both on idle (doing nothing at all) and leaving the ipod app playing music until it drains and shuts off.

That wouldn't take long or anything....

I noticed a severe battery suck directly after updating to b4, however after a few days of use it was fine. Dunno.

i've noticed my battery go up from running JB 3.1.3 quite a lot!
