Question How come my iPhone requires a tethered reboot while my Wife's doesn't?
    Hello all,

I could really use your help in figuring this one out.

My wife and I both have 16GB iPhone 3GS' both running the following specs:

    Bootloader: 06.04[G2M3S2]
    Baseband Version: ICE2-05.11.07
    OS Version: 3.1.2

We have jailbroken each iPhone using the latest version of Blackra1n and when my phone dies or it needs to be rebooted I have to connect it to my PC and run Blackra1n to get it working again.

My wife's iPhone when needing a reboot has no issue and does NOT require a tethered reboot.

Can somebody shed some light on this situation? It's killing me!

    Thanks in advance,

Bootloader is not equal to iBoot (a.k.a.Bootrom).

Your's has the new iBoot (iBoot-359.3.2)and your wife's has the old (iBoot-359.3).

Thank you so much for the reply...

Is there currently anyway to downgrade the iBoot to what my wife currently is running?

The bootrom (iBoot) is not downgradeable.

From what I understand, it is an actual piece of hardware, and not software.
