Thread: iPhone 3GS HDD Issue

    Default iPhone 3GS HDD Issue
First I realize it's not an actual HDD, but memory issue is to confusing xD

While using my iPhone today, something decided to consume the rest of the HDD space left in /var. SBSettings told me I had 224 in / and 0 in /var. I was unable to use Cydia/Rock, and many other apps (Messages even crashed when trying to send an SMS) until I cleared out some freespace using iFile. iTunes says "Other" is consuming >9 gigs of data, until I cleared some data (I had over 5 gigs left of free space just the other day and I haven't installed any apps).

Is there any program/app to possibly determine what source in consuming all this space on my iPhone? I would rather not restore if I don't have to.

it's the rock your phone app. Delete the log at var/mobile/library/RYP/logs. An update is said to be coming in an hour or so to fix it.

I've done all these things, and updated rock. However my free space was never restored, and now it appears to still be happening.

EDIT: Fixed by uninstalling Rock, deleting the RYP folder in /var/mobile/Library/ and rebooting.
