Smile Anyone else having this irritating issue with iTunes and 3.1.2?
    Hi all,

I am now Jailbroken and unlocked on 3.1.2 on my 3GS thanks to a couple of guys here (Thanks!)

I have found an irritating characteristic with iTunes. I have 5 column springboard and 6 app dock installed from cydia and every time I connect to iTunes it mixes up and nicks up my springboard putting apps all over the place and pages and pages apart + takes 2 of the 6 apps out of the dock.

Has anyone else encountered this and found solution (apart from getting rid of 5 column springboard and 6 app dock of course!)

    cheers!

    Emby

That would most likely be because itunes doesn't support jailbreak stuff, so only supports 4x4 springboard & 4 icon dock. So it should be putting 16 icons on each page of your springboard.

I realise that! Was just wondering I'd anyone had found a way of disabling iTunes from messing with the springboard and dock.

iTunes isn't messing with the springboard, you are.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

I turned off the auto sync and use spring back to fix it if itunes makes a mess saves lots of time
