Default Apple makes new 3GS un-breakable?
Knowing that the new Pwnage Tool works for 3GS 3.1.2, I was about to go buy my first iPhone. Yet I happened to read a news from Just Another iPhone Blog, that Apple has resolved the exploit with their new shipment. Does it mean Pwnage Tool (or the GeoHot tool) will not work on the new shipped iPhone 3GS? I will have to keep waiting on? Too sad for this.

Following is the message derived from the site:

Apple is now shipping the iPhone 3GS with a new Bootrom that is not vulnerable to the 24kpwn exploit.

The iBoot-359.3.2 started to ship last week. MuscleNerd from the iPhone Dev-Team has confirmed that the loss of the 24kpwn exploit would mean a normal jailbreak would be impossible for the time being.

It means the new units will not be jailbreakable. Not until or if a new exploit is found.

It will be broken in 6 months... tops.
