Default ECID on file with cydia with 3.1.2 Jailbroken with Blackra1n
    Hi Guys ,

If some experts please be able to explain ,

I have a jailbroken Iphone 3GS with firmware 3.1.2 jailbroken few days ago with Blackra1n, everything working well. Prior to this I was on 3.0.1 and had my ECID on file with cydia. I do not require the phone to be unlocked for any reason. I only want it to be jailbroken. Hence the reason I used Blackra1n to do it.

    My question is this ,

The Dev team keeps saying that it is important to keep grabbing the ECID of the phone each time it is jailbroken with a new firmware ..

Now that i have jailbroken with Blackra1n will cydia still grab my 3.1.2 ECID? When I launch Cydia it tells me that my 3.0 ECID is on file with Cydia . I am guessing that the ECID grab process is automatic and not dependant on what you use to jailbreak the phone , and that cydia will only show the lowest firmware on file.
Can someone please confirm this ?

    Many Thanks in Advance

Your ECID doesn't change.. ever. Cydia will display the lowest firmware when you save the ECID. So if you save it on 3.0... and then on 3.0.1.. and then on 3.1.2... it will still say 3.0.

The ECID SHSH file will store at Saurik server, I guess you won't be able to do so.
