Exclamation itunes 9.1 released, BEWARE !! dont upgrade just yet.
I find it very suspicious that itunes 9.1 is out shortly after 9.0 and the ability to jailbreak 3.1

has apple declared war on us and has taken off the gloves to stop us from jailbreaking, SSH, and all the other things we enjoy doing (and have a right to do) with our property?

I made the leap from itunes 8.x to 9 and lost my ability to SSH via USB until a few great men fixed this problem with updates to ifunbox, iphonebrowser and iphone tunnel suite.

has anyone dared to update to 9.1 yet? please let us know what you've experienced.

    thnx.

mh, I either live in a black hole where time is slowed down or the current version of itunes is 9.0.1, not 9.1 ... ?

edit: and before some physicist corrects me, yeah, I know, I could not live in a black hole, I would be crushed into a singularity, go away

ROFL. I actually just made the backwards leap to iTunes 8.2.0 on my PC, and I'm at 9.0.1 on my Virtual Mac (so I can jailbreak all those pretty little iphones via Pwnagetool) LOL

I am still on 8.2. I don't see myself upgrading until the dev team deems it necessary.

How do you reinstall an earlier version of iTunes? I am on 9.01

Delete old version, reboot computer. Find an older version, you can google itunes 8.2.0 for whatever OS you are running, you'll find a few, just don't go to any apple site, it will only contain the newest. Hope that helps.

^^^ Correct. The first item that needs correction is any USB interface is actually NOT SSH. You may want to brush up on your protocols. The second item is that these USB tools need to be tweaked generally for the iPhone firmwares... NOT iTunes.

accessing the iphone via USB is not SSHing, it's a different protocol.
even if it would, it has nothing to do with SSH, but rather with the usb protocols or iphone drivers or something like that that itunes 9 changes. it has nothing to do with SSH.

My latest version of itunes is 9.0.1 and the update says I have the latest version.

    Default Just upgraded
I just updated my iTunes to 9.1 and my iPod is 3.1.3. It didn't affect the jailbreak, but, I am skeptical now to download anything. For the reason that maybe iTunes is catching on and has some sort of tracker on iPods/iPhones/iPads. So I have yet to download anything else.

To be on the safe side, I restored my iPod and rejailbroke it, but will not yet download any apps, themes, etc.

There's nothing wrong with iTunes 9.1 and jailbreaking so download all you want.

That would be because talking about cracked apps is not allowed on this forum. There's a reason it's edited out You should remove it from your post otherwise this thread might get locked.
