    Default Please Please Help!!!
I have a 16 gig 3G iPhone, it was jailbroken and on 3.0

So I wanted to update to 3.1

I looked around, read forums and discovered that I could get a custom restore ipsw and click shift+restore and it would update to 3.1 with Cydia installed

and it kinda worked.. but my phone service stopped working so I tried a few more times, and eventually I had to restore it to regular un-jailbroken 3.1

Now I'm stuck with no themes, or tweaks or hacks and the worst thing is that I have YET to see a working Picture message either send or receive.

what can I do? I want my phone jailbroken and back to the way I had it, but with the new OS.

    thanks in advance

mh ... I mean, normally it should have worked right from the start, but if it goes wrong several times just try to get a new IPSW ... let's hope that does the trick.
and yeah, I guess DFU mode is the way to go, though it often works without. but just to be on the safe side ...
