Default Restored phone to custom/jailbroken 3.1 FW on 3g. No serivce
    Hi everyone,

I just downloaded a jailbroken 3.1 ipsw for Iphone 3G from another thread here and it installed fine, but now I have no service or can't make any calls, text, etc.

My signal shows as if it is one bar, yet I can't do anything.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Well I didn't see the no service posts untill I went looking because I had no service. I was in a rush to go out and needed my phone, so I thought I'll just restore from a 3.0 backup and sort it later. After back up my service came back. Been about 12hrs now and phone is working good. I never restore from backup but I'll leave this as it's working 100%

    Try DFU

    INSTRUCTIONS
    Step 1. Turn off iPhone
Step 2. Hold down the power and home button.
Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down.
Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that it detects iPhone in restore/recovery mode.
    Alternative Method:
Step 1. Connect iPhone to USB then listen to the sound when it connects and disconnects.
Step 2. Hold the home and power buttons until hear the disconnect sound then release power button.
Step 3. Wait until you hear another sound then release home button.
