    Default Wifi Signal Issue and Cydia issue
    To Whom It May Concern,

    First, thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully leaving your opinion.

    I am a American living in Bangkok and I recently took my 2G iPhone to be unlocked and jailbroken. I did this because I upgraded to the newest iPhone software and it reset my carries unlock and I could not use my Thailand SIM card.

    1.)I have noticed that when I discover Wifi signals the Wifi strength meter is always 0 or it is in the negative numbers and I can not seem to get internet access even though I know I should be able to.

    2.) When i open Cydia I get all types of Cache failures and I can not download anything at all. I think this is a result of my first issue regarding the Wifi signal.

    Are these knows issue that can happen? Can they be fixed?

    Thank you for your time.

    Since as you say you had someone do the JB/UL for you there is no telling what may have gone wrong. So I would suggest a redo - to get to square 1.

    You need a PC or MAC with internet to retrieve files requiered.
    And for restore iTunes installed.

    Do like this;
    1 - Download FW 3.0 here: iPhone Firmwares download | iPhone Firmware
    2 - Read & read the tutorials here: redsn0w. Once done read again.
    3 - Restore in iTunes make sure to MANUALLY (hold shift then push restore) select the downloaded FW 3.0 (Not 3.0.1)
    4 - Make sure!!! to set up the phone as a NEW phone in iTunes (Do NOT use any backup)
    5 - Run redsn0w 0.8 downloaded from http://www.quickpwn.com/redsn0w

    You should now be having a massive grin on your face.

    If you still have problems: PM me and I'll assist.
