Default A few questions on upgrading to the elusive 3.0!
First off some stats, I have a 2G iPhone on Tmobile, FW2.2. I also feel like a complete idiot as I have upgraded twice on my own and now I can't remember certain things on how to do it again (for the newer 3.0), lol.

Ok, im gonna upgrade to 3.0 or 3.0.1 finally from this 2.2. I know I should back up all my data thru iTunes but is there certain things I'm gonna lose that iTunes can not back up? What about my pics, contacts, videos, SwirlyMMS pics, ********** apps on my iPhone? How can I back those up (if I can)?

I guess the reason why I haven't upgraded yet because I'm afraid to lose the stuff on my phone, I just want to keep it and successfully back it up on the newer FW.

    Thanks for the help,

    Raad.

iTunes will backup everything except JB programs.
There are a couple backup programs for cydia apps.
Search... it's been covered many many times....

My Cydia doesn't work anymore, it crashes 3secs after start-up. I've search and used every tutorial out there to fix it but it still crashes, that's another reason why im upgrading.

Thanks but, there is no quikpwn anymore, I have to use Redsnow. Than I guess the steps that I should use (to backup all my data) would be #1, #6 and #7?

Or could I just copy those folders that contain my stuff (like Cycorder Video, SwirlyMMS pics, etc.) to my HDD and recopy them over to the root folder on the newer FW?

You can get PkgBackup from cydia for all your 3rd party apps.

    Oh ok, got it.

One thing though, I can't access PkgBackup from Cydia because my Cydia doesn't work, is there another way?
