    Default iphone firmware 3.1 baseband??
    Dear Members
    I have a iphone 3GS, on a 3.0 firmware. And i have jailbroken it.

But the wifi and signal problems are killing me, but i have a question.

The new 3.1 firmware will have a baseband update, but that baseband update will not let me jailbreak it. But is it the baseband which will fix the signal and wifi issues or is it something else in the firmware which will do it.

Cause signal and wifi issues are more important then the jailbreak.

Pls someone answer me this question

This is not the answer to your q but if ur using it with the original carrier I would just restore and see how it go. Even go to an area where u know there is good reception and try it (on a fresh instal) if it's still dodgy I would go get a replacement as I have good signal on 3g and none of my mates complain about 3gs signal. So ur fone mite be dodgy! Hope that helps as I would rather sort it now than wait fir 3.1

Edit, once u done a fresh install DONT restore from backup, setup as new iPhone as u will carry any crap u had with ur jailbreak

I have a 3GS, jailbroken with Cydia and all the hacked apps. My wifi and signal is good. Nothing is wrong with it. Your phone may have a bad radio hardware.. try to replace it at ATT or Apple, might help. SOme signal and wifi problem cases on here were because of that.
    iPhone 4 32GB. Jailbroken!

Apple says you should restore and start all over. If that doesn't work they suggest swapping out the phone.
