Default Jailbrok with Purplera1n, now what?
Sorry guys and girls, I'm a complete and total noob.

It appears I have used Purplera1n to jailbreak my iPhone this morning.
I haven't got a clue what to do now.

Ran Freeze, then Cydia. Cydia downloaded some upgrades and now I stare at it as I google and google iphone apps.

What am I supposed to be able to do now with the iphone?
    Amaze me please?
    I need some amazement, lol.

Well you can install Backgrounder and listen to your Pandora radio and do something else. You can install iRealSMS, QuickSMS, or BiteSMS and have Quick Reply which lets you send texts in a pop up window instead of having to exit the app you are in. I prefer BiteSMS because its cheaper than the other two and has a great support service on their site. Also, with SBSettings you can have all sorts of toggles with the swipe of a finger. You wanna toggle airplane mode to search for signal? Or maybe turn WiFi off or change the brightness? Just swipe the Status Bar, where the time is, and a menu slides down into place. Once Winterboard is updated, you can theme your phone.

Thanks SB, is there a general site where you can find all this stuff?
Or do I do it all on Cydia's website?

    Thanks !

Open Cydia and tap the button on the bottom right which is Search. Type in the name of the programs there. BiteSMS gives you a nice 30 day trial period. Also, do NOT under ANY circumstances install Winterboard or any of the Winterboard themes yet. It will either cause a restore or boot into Safe Mode. I had to hard reset my iPhone a few times to get the Safe Mode.

    Thanks buddy !

    Problem!

I guess I downloaded something from Cydia that now has my iphone in safe mode and i have tried twice to backup to the backup I made before installing Purplera1n.
I just keep getting the going into safe mode popup.

    Am I screwed?

Uninstall Winterboard. Not Cydia. What do you have installed?

EDIT: I didn't think you could, but I didn't wanna chance it.

I search Cydia for Winterboard and find nothing.

Is it possible to restore to factory settings in itunes?

You could but then you'd have to re-do everything. Did you install iRealSMS or Snapture? What was the last thing you installed before it booted in Safe Mode? Uninstall whatever it was.

OMG, i figured it had to be a ringtone or wallpaper app

It was a wallpaper app, and was able to modify and then remove and now i have no more unhappy face on a black screen.
    Freak me out!

    Thanks for our help !
    I realllllllllllly appreciate it.
