Thread: System Area Space

    Default System Area Space

    Is this normal?

I followed a tutorial to jailbreak my iPod touch and it left out I had to restore my iPod touch in order to jailbreak so I ended up jailbreaking without a restore.

So I then decided to restore my iPod today and when I did the amount of space never changed. It only freed up about 10MB so if I install something it will give me the disk space warning again.

Is there a way I can fully restore the iPod and start from scratch? I have tried restoring from iTunes and then restoring in DFU mode and both resulted with the same space issue.

I would really like to find a way to just wipe the System Area and start over. I already have all of my App data backed up so I wont loose anything.

Use BossTool... It won't wipe all of it but will free up some space for it.

OR you could just hit it with a hammer and get a new one (not recommended)
If anybody things that their iDevice is bricked and are sure of it, the first question you need to ask is:

"Did you throw it against a wall?"
