Thread: Quick noob question

    Default Quick noob question
    I have a jailbroken 3G running 2.2.1. I did it using quickpwn.

I want to upgrade to 3.0 and run redsn0w. I know I need to go to iTunes, upgrade to 3.0, then run redsn0w.

    1) Will i have any problems upgrading jailbroken 2.2.1 to native 3.0 via iTunes, or will it give me trouble?

    2) What happens to my current jailbroken apps when I upgrade from JB 2.2.1 to native 3.0? Do they disappear or do they stay installed in the filesystem and will be recognized again when I jailbreak 3.0?

    thanks guys

    1) No
    2) Yes - you lose them

If you down load Cyberduck to your computer and make sure you have SSH on your iPhone, you can back up your fav jailbroken apps. As with any upgrade, Apple wipes non-apple apps from your iPhone.
