Thread: Kernel Panics from IOUSBFamily-315.4-log.dmg

    Default Kernel Panics from IOUSBFamily-315.4-log.dmg

I successfully jailbroke and unlocked my 2G iPhone using PwnageTool. I needed to get DFU mode to run, so I downloaded and installed IOUSBFamily-315.4-log.dmg

Whenever I have a device plugged into my USB, I get kernel panics. Short of visiting the Genius Bar, how can I fix this?

What version of Mac OS X is it? 10.5.7, or 10.5.6? The IOUSBFamily kext is only for 10.5.6, 10.5.7 fixes DFU mode.

    It's 10.5.7

Before I installed that IOUSB Family file from the Apple Developer Site, I couldn't get my iPhone to enter DFU mode.

Now that I installed it, PwnageTool worked perfectly, but I can't connect anything to my USB other than the iPhone w/o getting Kernel Panics.

    Bump - does anyone know?
