Thread: iTunes Shift+Restore not working?

    Default iTunes Shift+Restore not working?
As the title says, Shift+restore in iTunes is not working on Windows 7. Does anyone have a work around? In the virtual machine I have setup for Windows XP, it is working in there. Had 8.2.0.23 installed, but I uninstalled it, and installed 8.2.0.10. I have tried, shift, alt, ctrl + restore / CHeck for updates, but the browse for firmware box never opens up.

    Any ideas?

Put iTunes into Windows XP compatability and you can use Shift + Restore. I assume Windows Vista compatability will also work.

Yeah I have this same problem and im on windows vista and running iTunes 8.2.0.10

nevermine i found a fix go into the firmware update section on in your itunes folder and put the 3.0 .ipsw file in there then restart itunes and it should ask if you want to install the newest update
