Thread: want to make a quick 20 bucks? help me save my iphone!

  1. #21
What is on the phone when you power it back on? On mine it stayed on the Apple logo and then was recognized by QuickPwn.

Is your iPhone also still on the Apple logo when you turn it back on? It should freeze at the logo.
If I helped you, then hit the "Thanks!" button please.

When in DFU, hold down the home button and the power button for about 10 seconds. If your phone is connected to your computer you'll hear a beep as when a USB device is disconnected.
Next just press the power button and your phone will startup at usual.

seems really simple but sounds like a good attempt

it stays on the apple logo for about 15-20 seconds then turned off for about 2 seconds, then booted into recovery mode.

Just to make sure, with quickpwn, you turned the phone off, opened quickpwn, then tried to turn it on right?

Also, try hooking it up to another computer.. It should possibly give you the option to backup your data. *this is just stuff i've been reading online*

also try removing the sim card and then rebooting the phone

No, your steps said to turn it off after i had opened quickpwn, but i just tried it that way, and the phone stayed on the apple logo for about 10 seconds, then went black for a second and switched to recovery mode.

im installing SP1 and .NET 3.5 SP1 on another computer right now, i will try on that one when it is done.

Been trying most of these both with the sim card in and out, no luck.

It's recognizing it properly (I believe), but he's just looking for as many alternatives as possible to restore his iPhone, right?

well if its not Jailbroken you can just take it to the apple store and have them Recover your data. and if its a harware issue then you might get a new one. Dont go if you have a JAILBROKEN iphone

Exactly what was so important? Your songs should sync, you probably have some contacts on your SIM, and you can reinstall all kinds of stuff from Cydia...
