    Default Vista Jailbreak Question
I Use XP, but a friend of mine is running Vista. He is digging the mods on my phone and would like to do the same with his.

He has the 2.2.1 stock firmware on his 3G phone and wants to jailbreak using my custom 2.2.1 firmware that I am running on my 3G. Can he just run the custom firmware in itunes to jailbreak (shift+restore) or does he have to use something else?

DFU restore to the custom firmware and you should be good to go.

So I should put his phone into DFU mode while connected to iTunes and then select the firmware?

All I did to mine is shift+restore through iTunes and it did the rest. Does the DFU mode have to do with him running Vista?

it shouldnt. im running on vista perfectly fine, and i dont have to use DFU mode. the only reason you should need to go into DFU mode is if you get an error code while restoring.
