Thread: Bypassing activation

    Default Bypassing activation
I updated my iPhone 2G to the 2.2.1 software, but now it's telling me to activate with AT&T. It was unlocked to use with T-Mobile, but since I upgraded it was removed? Now I'm using it with AT&T - but not paying for the iPhone plan. So is there a way I can bypass the activation so AT&T will not find out that I'm using an iPhone.

    Default Unlock
You just need to jailbreak and then unlock using the appropiate prog, like Quickpwn etc. Then once done and you go back into iTunes it will let you sync your phone again.

You can so this through Quickpwn. Or, borrow a friends AT&T sim to activate it and then unlock it later.
