Thread: Meta Key Reassignment OR "^" (CTRL usually) for use in Terminal

Question Meta Key Reassignment OR "^" (CTRL usually) for use in Terminal
How do you use "^" on the Pwned iPhone's terminal application? For the life of me, I can't figure it out. There must be a simple explanation.

My reasoning is using applications in the terminal like:
    nano, joe, vim and others.

I would like to be able to use these and they require a META+key combination to make use to saving, exiting, etc.

Can someone please enlighten me on how to use or reassign this key?

    Thanks a lot,

Default CTRL or ^ in Mobile Terminal
In the Mobile Terminal you get a Ctrl (or ^) by quickly sliding you finger down-and-right (south-east) somewhere on the main window. The cursor then becomes red and you can press whatever key you want (in the text editor 'nano' for instance O to save or X to exit).

See more of these gestures in the Preferences menu (press somewhere and hold, slide to Misc, slide to Config and then click on Gestures).

    The default gestures are:
up: up arrow (e.g. repeat last command from shell history)
    down: down arrow
    left: left arrow
    right: right arrow
    up-right: .C (^C)
    up-left: .esc
    down-right: [CTRL] (^)
    down-left: .t

Another way is to use the 'dot' key, see foob's post on [ame=]nano text editor in terminal app - Mac Forums[/ame]

Automac uses ifconfig as well, so you might not have much luck
