Did I miss something? Why are people looking for DiskAid 2.12 when the lastest version is 2.52 for Windows and 2.5 for Mac?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just noticed that the first post says why in about the middle of it.

DFU mode was working but it gave me the 1604 error again! I am using the OS that I DL to jailbreak my phone under 2.2.1. Should I allow iTunes to download the latest version?

This is how you learn to fix things by trial and error. Could be an expensive way to learn. But I'll probably drop $200 when Verizon finally gets to sell them. At least I am hoping. AT&T sucks compared to Verizon.

Got a 1013 restore error this time. Any suggestions???

1013 means that it could not flash the baseband, what are you trying to achieve?

If you turn your phone on, it should go to recovery mode?

    Open up iRecovery & do

    "irecovery -s"
    "fsboot"
    "/exit"

if it boots, turn it off, turnit back on so its in recovery mode again
    "irecovery -s"
    "setenv auto-boot true"
    "saveenv"
    "reboot"
    "/exit"

You should be using the latest version of iTunes before 8.2. I think it was something like 8.1.2 or something. I would let it update iTunes to the latest version that it will let you update to.
