Default Easiest way to clean out a jailbroken/unlocked 2.2 iPhone 3G?
I recently picked up a second hand iPhone that's unlocked and jailbroken. There's a bunch of apps, photos, etc already on it that I don't want. I want to do a clean install of 2.2 thats jailbroken and most importanly unlockable. Whats the easiest way to do this? Would resetting the phone work (Settings->General->Reset)? Or should I restore from a custom 2.2.1 that doesnt update the baseband?

    Thanks!

just download a 2.2 iphone 3g fw and in itunes hold shift and click restore ( mac do option+click) then it will be clean... use quickpwn to jailbreak and then use yellowsn0w to unlock

    iPod and iPhone Firmware Download

    Any 2.2 IPSW will work?

I'll stick to 2.2 for now since I know thats whats been stable with my other phone.
