    i attached a photo of it, my friend asked me to jailbreak his phone but i enconuntered this porblem, once i connect his iphone to itunes it say that "cannot connect to iphone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter passcode because connectiong with itunes." The problem is it doesnt give me a option to put in the passcode and only like me do emergency calls. No update iphone = no jailbreak. Can someone help plz
    and remember this is a used iphone bought from someone else. that guy probly messed it up then sold it to my friend

    You can try placing it in DFU mode and restoring, but probably wont work.

    It looks to be pin locked. Which you cant get around. Far as I know.

    That can also be a hardware failure.

    sucks for my friend, basically he got ripped off?so bascially if he even tried to use it as AT%T it wont work??

    I would try DFU mode and restoring it first (it might work). If that doesnt work you can try placing the ATT simcard in it and plugging it to itunes.

    Yeah, if he bought it with that msg on the front....he most likely got screwed.

    It is caused by entering a PIN wring 4 times.
    Not sure if you can reset the PIN if you connect to iTunes but if that doesn't work a restore will fix it.

    the thing is it wont even let me connect to itunes.

    Chuck it in DFU then update.
