Default The Sim card in this phone does not appear to be supported
Can anyone help me. I was in the process of restoring my iphone (in the hope that it would remove a fault in the screen i.e the key pad and keyboard would not respond properly), which I have done before successfully when... The Itunes message "The Sim card inserted in this phone does not appear to be supported"

Now I have had this phone for over a year now, works fine, well it did.

So to cut a long story short, I cannot do anything with my phone except make emergency calls. My phone is jailbroken and was running the latest version of firmware. How do I allow itunes to see the phone within itunes and remove usb cable/itunes logo from the screen. i.e. start the restore process again.

    Nigel.

Was your phone unlocked? If so, you gotta unlock it again. Also, the emergency screen means its not activated currently, since you restored it.
