    Default upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2
    Hi all, I am using a 2g iphone running 2.1 should I upgrade to 2.2 ? my phone is working fine, I am using a Mac on osx 10.5.5 if so is there a quick and simple method I used pwnage to upgrade last time around. many thanks

    2.2 is supposedly more stable, so it couldn't really hurt. After you upgrade you can use Quickpwn and be back to the unlocked/jailbroken state in minutes.

    2.2.1 is more stable. but not really overly worth it.
    Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

    This is the only way to back-up your apps and upgrade. Your only other option is to restore, jailbreak, and download everything again manually. If you're going to upgrade just go up to 2.2.1.

    I did notice there is an upgrade to 2.2.1 in cydia, is it not an option to use this?

    Just go to 2.2.Because there is not so special features&improvements on 2.2.1...
