Default upgrading to 2.2.1 on jailbroken 2.2 with osx 10.5.5
so i've held off on the osx 10.5.6 update because of the iphone dfu issues, so my question is:

if i'm running 10.5.5 and have already jailbroken my iphone to 2.2, should i re-jailbreak it to 2.2.1? and because i'm on 10.5.5 not have problems with dfu mode? will i lose all my cydia apps? and is the 2.2.1 update even worth it ? thanks for the help

You will not have problems with DFU mode in 10.5.5 and you will lose all your Cydia apps. It has to be done from a fresh restore to work properly, I tried otherwise and my phone was all sorts of messed up. I haven't noticed a huge difference yet, but I've only had it a day so far.

*You can use Automator to pass the DFU issue on 10.5.6
*Its your own choice to upgrade to 2.2.1.Cause i think there are no special&big improvements on 2.2.1
*If you need to unlock your phone, you have to use pwnage tool on mac&keep your 2.28.00 baseband. Then you can use yellowSnow 0.9.7 to unlock it.
*You can try AptBackup to backup your cydia apps.
