Thread: Problem changing lock screen wallpaper

Default Problem changing lock screen wallpaper
Ok I've searched everywhere for a solution to this but nothing has worked.

No matter what I do I can't change my lock screen wallpaper. I have deleted the lockscreen file in var/mobile/library/customize and I have even uninstalled customize and yet I still can't change my wallpaper.

Anyone have a fix for this?

    No one's had this problem??

Isn't the lockscreen wallpaper just changed via Settings>Wallpaper?

Yeah it is but since i changed my lockscreen wallpaper via customize it won't change via settings or otherwise.

SSH into your ipod/iphone and navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library and find the lockscreenicon.jpg file. Select that and delete it, and then you should be able to change it.

i just posted a thread on this same thing. i am having the same problem, however, unlike you i did not use customize or winterboard. After the update to 2.1 i have not been able to change my lockscreen wallpaper period. Been trying to get a solution for days on this.

loonatick, i dont know if you figured out how to change your lckscreen wllpaper or not but i figured out a way to do it via Winterboard. All you do is create your own theme & name it whatever you want (but make sure it ends with .theme) . Put an image inside the theme and name it LockBackgroung.jpg. Then, SSH (if you know how to do this) into your phone & drop your new Theme into Winterboard themes. Then, you checkmark that theme & your image should show on the lockscreen. I did this & it works, i learned it from reading all the posts on this Lockscreen wallpaper issue that some of us are having.
