    Default help please
A couple of months back I bought an unlocked and jailbroken iphone from grey market in India having 1.1.3 firmware. Now I want to upgrade to firmware 2.0. I dont have the original ATT sim card. Now my question is can I use any other GSM sim to unlock, activate and jaibreak my iphone? Or original sim card is required to activate. Can iphone be unlocked and activated without any sim card and then inserted any GSM sim of my choice.

Pls help/advice me I am totally confused going through a vast number of threads on the net.

    thanks

Pwn the 2.0 firmware, and then use iTunes to restore the iPhone using that custom firmware. It doesn't matter what SIM you have in the phone at the time. It will be jailbroken, activated and unlocked all in one shot.

Yes, make sure the SIM is in there when you do the restore, unless you'll get a message from iTunes saying its found an incompatible SIM.
