    Default 1.1.3 Timezone Problem Fix
After updating to 1.1.3 via MMi's installer method my phone wouldn't change the timezone. World clock didn't show the correct times as a result, nor did the SMS app show the right timestamps.

The fix for this extremely annoying bug changes the timezone to the one of choice by bypassing the iphone's settings application. It does NOT fix the buggy settings app, which apparently is not able to change the iphone's timezone, but it does cure the symptoms.

To set the timezone open Terminal on your computer, and type the following:

    ssh -l root [iphone's ip]
[password - if not changed: alpine]
    rm /var/db/timezone/localtime
    ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Etc/[Timezone Code] /var/db/timezone/localtime

To find the timezone code that corresponds to your timezone type:

    ls /usr/share/zoneinfo/Etc/

and look for what seems appropriate. Mine was 'GMT-1' for central europe.

Reboot iPhone and everything should be okay. You may have to correct the time manually in the settings app, the offsets should be correct though, now.

Hope it helps and someone can find a fix for the settings app soon!

This is the correct fix, which also deals with the settings app (haven't tested it though):
