Thread: Looking for some jailbreak assistance

Default Looking for some jailbreak assistance
    I have:

    Windows XP
    iTunes 7.6
    iBrickr 0.91
originally a 1.1.1 iPhone, jailbroken to 1.1.2, upgraded to 1.1.3 standard, now I am trying to jailbreak from 1.1.3.

I have had no luck with all the different methods and guides I've found.

The farthest I've gotten is the scrolling white text screen of death, and even the fix I tried from this forum didn't work.

So my question is, can anyone give me a foolproof jailbreak from 1.1.3 using iTunes 7.6 and iBrickr 0.91?

You need to downgrade back to 1.1.1, oktoprep, up to 1.1.2 jailbreak, and then use either natetrue's method, or the DevTeams method from the installer.app (which does the 1.1.3 upgrade and jailbreak for you). Any other questions, feel free to ask!

the problem comes in downgrading from 1.1.3 to 1.1.1 in 7.6. everytime I try and I get the itunes error from the shift-click restore, I boot from iBrickr and nothing changes, I'm back in 1.1.3 or I get stuck in the infinite white text loop and have to do a non-shift-click restore back to 1.1.3.

i was able to downgrade using 7.6
there are 2 recovery modes, one with a itunes and a plug, and one with a blank screen.

If u get to the blank screen u can restore using 7.6
hold dn home and power for 10 secs
    let go of hold
keep holding home button until a phone shows in itunes
    restore to 1.1.1
    then restore again to 1.1.1
boot out of DFU using ur fav program
use the hold call trick to access jailbreakme.com
    install oktoprep
    shift update to 1.1.2
    jailbreak 1.1.2
    update installer to 3.0b10
use soft update to get to 1.1.3
this is not a jailbreak for the faint of heart
There are No stupid questions, Only stupid people

once I restore, my iPhone wakes up in 1.1.3. I go to DFU and restore twice to 1.1.1, then my phone wakes up from DFU using iBrickr in 1.1.3 with all my data/music on it.
