Default Official Dev team 1.1.3 jailbreak is here
    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Copy this entire distribution to / on your iPhone/iTouch
So you will have /update-prebinding-path.txt and so on

    # scp -r ./* [email protected]:/

    2. Run the install.sh script:

    # sh install.sh

    3. The device will perform an upgrade and reboot into 1.1.3

If something DOES go wrong, restore back to 1.1.2 / Jailbroken and try again.

If you get something like illegal hardware instruction, just try rebooting
and it should be updated to 1.1.3.

If you don't get service, try a forced-power-down then power back on.

    That's it!

From that explanation.... it sounds like the actual installation process is very similar. Probably will produce identical results.... I guess we will see!

just out of curiosity, why do these jailbreak methods require 1.1.1 or 1.1.2? whats the deal with 1.0.2?

1.0.2 is probably different enough that it didn't work and they have no reason to make it for this firmware because the fast majority have moved on. this is just a guess

think of how much is different between all the firmwares. im sure there's info required from 1.1.2 to help make the soft update even possible and make 1.1.3 operate.

jus like 1.1.2 requires a jailbroken 1.1.1 first.

    now 1.1.3 requires a jailbroken 1.1.2.

someone test it out n post back with results. im stuck at work and im way excited about this

if im not mistaken wephone. nate's jailbreak method broke sdk possibilities due to many reasons. this release is supposed to leave all that intact so it can work side by side with official sdk apps and our 3rd party apps.

i suppose... but 112 does not require 1.1.1.

What if you're in the middle of Nate's jailbreak process? Is it still possible to recover enough to use the dev team's method?

    aglitch:

1.1.2 jailbreak does require 1.1.1, it requires a jailbroken and oktoprep'd 1.1.1 before you can even update to 1.1.2 then re-jailbreak.

but anyway. what do you mean if your in the middle? how far have you gone in his process? if you did the whole ibrickr part only you should be able to just remove the files it put on ur phone then go with this jailbreak instead. but im not 100% on this because i didnt even try nates jb method cuz it was just to weird how dev team reacted towards him for that release.

if your unsure tho, start clean. things always work good when u start clean. go back to a clean 1.1.1 restore, jailbreak to 1.1.2, jailbreak again then try this.

umm. no. you can put oktoprep on 1.0.2 just fine and upgrade and jailbreak 1.1.2.
