Thread: a REAL 1.1.3 question

    Default a REAL 1.1.3 question
Hello everyone, I have an ipsf unlocked, 1.1.2 iphone, My question is this:

If i update my iphone to 1.1.3 via itunes, it will be locked solid, correct?
    but if I downgrade firmware back to 1.1.1(leaving 1.1.3 baseband 04.03.13_g) I'll have a 1.1.1 phone with 04.03.13_g, correct?
Now if I soft update via the new method announced, I'll have a complete, jailbroken, hacktivated, 1.1.3, correct?

The reason I ask is, wouldn't this work with iPSF users?
    Thanks
    Joe

No; tried it. iPSF doesn't retain the unlock with the new baseband.

Since your baseband is 04.03.13g, you need to downgrade it to at least a 4.02.13s. That way when you soft update to 1.1.3 your baseband will still be 4.02.13 therefore your phone will still be unlocked via IPSF, activated, and jailbroken.

no, the question is whether i can upgrade to the new baseband and it be unlocked with ipsf, but in order to jailbreak and hacktivate, i would need to downgrade, and upgrade/jailbreak again...

So now, your stuck with a hacktivated, jailbroken, locked iphone?

Because according to a couple other forums, including
    http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...t=23517&page=2
    It does retain its unlock

I updated my ipsf unlocked iphone to 1.1.3 using the natetrue jailbreak/update as I had read this method retains the baseband at 04.02.13_G ( which it does ) and my iphone is still working.
    Never knowingly understood.
