    Cool [GUIDE] Jailbreaking 1.1.3 (Windows)
Don't forget the Thanks button if I helped you!

    For Starters:
    - This tutorial is for Windows XP, will work on Vista, and isn't made for Mac.
    - You do not need WiFi for 3.9 Bootloaders. You do for 4.6.
    - Unless told otherwise, leave the iPhone plugged in throughout the tutorial.

    Downloads:
    - 1.1.1 Firmware (download here)
    - 1.1.3 Firmware (download here)
    - iBrickr 1.1.3 Jailbreak (download here)

    Other links:
    - If you want to downgrade back to 1.1.2 and jailbreak check out this tutorial. (It may actually not be necessary to downgrade the baseband... more info on this later)
    - If you need to jailbreak 1.1.2 or 1.1.1 in the first place check out this tutorial.

    Table of Contents:
    - 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 Jailbroken to 1.1.3 Jailbroken (simple version 3.9 Bootloader)
Follow the first Guide (its right below this blue text )

    - 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 Jailbroken to 1.1.3 Jailbroken (idiot-proof version 3.9 Bootloader)
Follow the second Guide (hit ctrl - F and type in "scndz")

    - 1.1.3 to 1.1.3 Jailbroken (simple version 4.6 Bootloader)
Follow the first Guide (hit ctrl - F and type in "thrdz")

    - 1.1.3 to 1.1.3 Jailbroken (idiot-proof version 4.6 Bootloader)
Follow the second Guide (hit ctrl - F and type in "frthz")

The Process: 1.1.1/1.1.2 to 1.1.3 (simple 3.9 BL): frstz

Step 1: Extract the iBrickr 1.1.3 Jailbreak to your desktop and open it.

Step 2: Follow iBrickr's steps until it is finished, then close out of it.

Step 3: Refresh your sources in Installer.app and Install the "1.1.3 soft upgrade".

Step 4: Your iPhone will download and install the file and your iPhone will then restart. You are now on 1.1.3 and Jailbroken!

    The Process: 1.1.1/1.1.2 to 1.1.3 (idiot-proof 3.9 BL): scndz

Step 1: Extract the iBrickr 1.1.3 Jailbreak to your desktop.

Step 2: Open the extracted iBrickr 1.1.3 Jailbreak folder and enter the iBrickr Core Files. Double-click on iBrickr.

Step 3: Click “Check my phone!”… iBrickr will check you phone and give and prompt you to download an Installer.app jailbreak patch. Click “Do it!”. iBrickr will download the jailbreak patch.

Step 4: iBrick will now prompt you to either “Find 1.1.3 on disk” or “Download it from Apple”. Consult the pictures below for help on doing either.

Step 5: After you get the 1.1.3 firmware all settled, iBrickr will tell you it’s ready to go! Click “Do you have to ask?”, it will patch a few things and give you another confirmation screen. Click “Ready to go!”.

Step 6: When iBrickr tells you it’s done, close out of it. Go into Installer.app on your iPhone, refresh your sources, and find and install “1.1.3 soft upgrade”.

Step 7:Your iPhone will download and install the file and your iPhone will then restart. You are now on 1.1.3 and Jailbroken!

The Process: 1.1.2/1.1.3 to 1.1.3 (simple 4.6 BL): thrdz

Step 1: If you are on 1.1.2, restore to 1.1.3 through iTunes at this time, if not, continue.

Step 2: Put your iPhone in DFU mode and shift-click on Restore in iTunes, navigate to your 1.1.1 Firmware, and downgrade to 1.1.1.

Step 3: Use iBrickr to force boot your iPhone... if you screen turns green, shift-click Restore again and restore to 1.1.1 and try again, if not, continue.

Step 4: Slide for emergency and type in *#306#. Answer the call from 0, put it on hold, and decline the next call. Set up a contact and add two websites:
    prefs:
    www.jailbreakme.com.

Step 5: Click prefs: and connect to your WiFi. Then hit the home button. Now slide for emergency, type 0, answer, hold, decline. Click on www.jailbreakme.com.

Step 6: Once your are jailbroken, hit ctrl-f in this guide and search for "frstz". Follow that guide until you are jailbroken on 1.1.3 and then finish these steps.

    IN PROGRESS

    The Process: 1.1.2/1.1.3 to 1.1.3 (idiot-proof 4.6 BL): frthz

    IN PROGRESS

it sounds like you have the 4.6 bootloader and a 1.1.3 baseband. You can downgrade to 1.1.1, jailbreak, run through the 1.1.3 ibrickr jailbreak, upgrade, and be on 1.1.3 jailbroken with a working phone

hi stlcaddie, i think i have the exact same problem with you. I have 1.1.2 firmware, 04.03.13 baseband and 4.6 bootloader. currently jailbroken but NOT unlocked. Even putting a sim adapter (china3gpp i think) doesn't help.

i think the problem is that we need to downgrade the baseband to 03.14.08 or 04.01.13 (not sure abt 04.02.13) and that is very hard to do cos it requires BSD Subsystem 1.5 which just won't install currently

    I've got a OTB 1.1.2 bootloader 4.6 that got upgraded to 1.1.3

I downgraded to 1.1.1 jailbroke, then used this method to upgrade back to 1.1.3

I never did anything with the radio function. As expected my iphone turned in to an ipod touch when I down graded to 1.1.1 but phone funtionality unfortunately was NOT restored in 1.1.3. Although I do have 1.1.3 jailbroken. To get phone functionality back I had to go back into dfu mode and restore to 1.1.3 Back to square one for me.

how do I tell which bootloader I have

  24. #17
My problem is just that while I had 1.1.3 jailbroken my phone functions ceased to work. I expected this when downgrading to 1.1.1 but hoped "IN THEORY" that the upgrade back to 1.1.3 would restore the phone. It did not.

Sidetalker be completely honest is there any reason to update yet or should I wait for the legal jailbreak? and do you still have cell phone service? Did anything go wrong in that area? By what Im reading theres no reason to update yet and theres a lot of things going wrong.
