Default Way to tell what firmware iphone was OTB?
    Title says it all.

My buddy recently got an iphone for Christmas. Well, he originally had a touch, but returned it after Christmas for and iphone. He upgraded it to 1.1.3 not knowing what the iphone was capable of with 1.1.1-1.1.2 and whatnot. He does not remember if his phone was originally 1.1.1 or 1.1.2, I have seen a tutorial on how to downgrade 1.1.3 but only if your original firmware was 1.1.1.

Is there a way to tell what your original firmware your iphone was running? Just trying to help my buddy out as he wants SNES on his iphone, lol.

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks

The serial number of the phone will tell you what week it is, and what week will tell you which firmware it had. Should be the 4th and 5th numbers in the serial number. i.e. my old iPhone was YM724 24 is the week and week 24 was 1.0.0 OTB. I think week 45 started 1.1.2 OTB; im not sure ill double check for you.

    EDIT: weeks 44 & 45 started
