    Default Apple replaces jailbroken/unlocked iPhone
so my phone broke as i made a few threads with no answers that worked. So i decided to take a chance and send it into Apple, well guess what they replaced it and comes tomorrow.

what i have done to my phone
    dropped in many puddles
    thrown across room
dropped from waist height many times
    jailbroken
    unlocked

I DID NOT VIRGINIZE MY PHONE

had scratches all over the back many dents on corners and bezel as well as a screen imperfection

heres a screenshot of it saying it was replaced. they could have replaced a part or the whole phone, either way my warranty was still valid.

just thought i would share since i was so surprised it worked

EDIT:exploded view so you can see

If thats true......YOU GO BOY. Sounds like you got REALLY lucky. However, Apple is being a little more open-minded than they put on, My iphone toasted itself (hardware malfunction) and I took it in to the store, the GENIUS told me I had nice themes and apps on my JAILBROKEN/HACKED iphone then gave me a new one

What exactly was wrong with the phone. if it just plain wouldn't boot or was in an endless loop (where a simple restore wouldn't do anything) and it wasn't HARDWARE unlocked, this isn't surprising. It is not that the phone was under warranty, per se, but rather they had no way of telling what had gone on with the phone due to the fact it was so far fried.

Oh wow. That's pretty awesome for you then! I don't expect apple to be very generous in most of these cases. Curious though... why did you hardware unlock if you were with ATT? You had no reason to unlock it!
