Unhappy :: Help :: Update 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 now with the 1.1.3 in the middle
    I have a 1.1.1 that i want to upload to 1.1.2 to activate/jailbreak/unlock

i read i should UPDATE to 1.1.2 using iTunes, NOT with a Restore
(if i do a restore to 1.1.2 there's no Oktoprep to do the jailbreak then)

How can i do this now when i try to update with iTunes, it says 1.1.3

    Thanks.

Follow the 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 upgrade instructions as per "Guides". Instead of clicking on upgrade, Option+click (Mac) and Shift+click (PC) the UPGRADE button (not restore) and choose the 1.1.2 Restore file that you would have downloaded. Yes, it will work. After the update quit iTunes and launch jailbreak.jar. Here's a thread from earlier with more detailed instructions thanks to Dakko and Tux2k47...

First use safari and go to www.jailbreakme.com and install the exploit installer. Use the installer to install OKtoPrep, Update it by using the downloaded firmware 1.1.2 and it should let you update. Jailbreak it by using the 1.1.2 jailbreak

i do all that, i install first the Oktoprep in 1.1.1 and, when i want to jailbreak 1.1.2 they say that i have to Oktoprep the iphone first with 1.1.1,

I had the same thing happen and it was because I restored my backup in iTunes before jailbreak 1.1.2. It must of wiped out oktoprep or something. Try it again but don't touch the phone before the 1.1.2 jailbreak.

Ok... i did it 2 times, with 2 different iPhone and everything fine:

    1. Restore ur iPhone to 1.1.1 (Shift + RESTORE)
    2. Use the iBrickr to boot
    3. Go to jailbreakme.com
    4. Install the Oktoprep
    5. UPDATE to 1.1.2 (Shift + UPDATE BUTTON (no RESTORE))
    6. Use the jailbreak.jar file
    7. Unlock with anySim for 1.1.2

If anyone need help with one of these steps, just ask me
