Default Will a 1.1.3 jailbreak even be necessary?
    Hey all!

With a 1.1.3 launch coming up here shortly, I was wondering if a jailbreak would even be necessary.

I understand that it may be required for an unlock, but what about those of us on AT&T?

It seems as if Apple is opening it up for us to install apps. They might have to come through iTunes, but we'll still be able to have S/W. I'm sure someone is going to find a way to install apps without going through iTunes or not having a jailbreak.

    Any thoughts or comments?

I expect that applications like Cudtomize and SummerBoard that require a writable OS partition will not be possible in 1.1.3 without jailbreak.

So, no themes or custom sounds or custom sliders or hidden apps.

It appears as if NetMage is correct. Changes in 1.1.3 announced so far are:
They have added the ability to send an SMS message to multiple people. The Google Maps application is supposed to have the ability to pinpoint your location using cell tower triangulation.
Google Maps will display the Hybrid map view.
Ability to drag and drop application icons on your home screen.
    The home screen supports pagination.
and web bookmarks can be added to your home screen.

It is also important to note that phones unlocked using AnySim are said to be bricked by the update.
