Default Accidentally tried upgrade to 2.0, iPhone stuck!
Hello. I have a 1st gen. iPhone with the 1.14 firmware installed. I accidentally clicked the OK to update my jailbroken unlocked iPhone to 2.0. It wouldn't load for awhile so I let it sit..my power accidentally went off and my computer turned off. I turned it back on and now on itunes its telling me to restore..when I try and restore it won't restore.

The screen on my iPhone has the picture of the itunes icon with the USB cord under it... i'm not sure what to do anymore.. can someone please help me I would really appreciate it. I just want to go back to 1.14... if 2.0 is easier I wouldn't mind upgrading to that.

    I have Windows XP.

You very well could have bricked it.

It is in recovery mode if its showing a plug/Cd on the screen. If Itunes wont restore it, you could try to see if Pwnage or Ziphone will work, otherwise your having a bad day.

EXACTLY the same thing happened to me, i had asked here in despair and didn't get a response but with a lot of patience I found the answer myself reading every single thread and trying...
    1. DELETE ziphone.NEVER touch it again.
    2. Download the latest firmware. http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....7_Restore.ipsw
    3. Download the 3.9 or 4.6 bootloaders here in the download section
    4. get the latest pwnage tool here

(many thanks to the dev team, it does make a difference between 2.2 and 2.2.1 !!!)
    5. follow these instructions literally, the only thing you may change is the partition size..

Im trying to fix a friends phone who accidently upgraded a jailbroken phone 1.0.2 into 2.2 through iTunes and now has the yellow triangle.
I have fixed many phones before but i cannot get any of my programs to fix it.
