Default Just got the iphone....who can help lol
ok so i just got my iphone and i started trying to make the custom ringtone with that convert to ACC thing, then changing the file name to m4r thing, and i got it to pop up under ringtones in Itunes, but then when i went to sync it with my iphone, only the ringtone u purchased got synced, not the custom one. So then i go online tryin to see wuts the deal, and start seeing all these applications and wutnot u can download to ur phone, some installer.app thing. I then realize the ones im seeing dont work with the iphone with that firmware thing 1.1.4 that i have. Needless to say, anyone want to help out a COMPLETE noob get some custom ringtones on his iphone and a few of those nice lookin apps ppls have on their iphones. (for some reason i cant even get a background on this phone...apparently you need some app for that 2???)

and i will repeat i am a COMPLETE Noob, i have no idea wut to do. (tho i kno i dont need to unlock the phone cuz i have ATT&T) Ohh yeaa and i have PC not Mac thats prob important...

The ring-tone has to be about 30 seconds or less for it to work on the iPhone. Although, I have one that's about 38 seconds, you won't hear that much anyway, probably only the first 20 -25 seconds worth, unless of coarse you answer. I use a program called MP3 Trimmer to edit my mp3's, then I import back into iTunes, convert to ACC drag to the desktop and change to m4r.

Oh, and I'm using the current version of iTunes 7.6.2 if that makes any difference to you.

    Good luck.
