Default 1.1.2 -> 1.1.1 not working! Please help
    Hello,

I seem to habve made a huge mistake that has rendered my iPhone unusable (bricked in 1.1.2, and I cannot restore it to 1.1.1)

    Situation:

I had an unlocked 1.1.1 (Anysim), which I originally bought as a 1.0.2.

Today I used Oktoprep and conceited jailbreak method to get it to work under 1.1.2. It did - with the exception that my SIM was not "authorized". So I read in a post that I would have to downgrade to 1.1.1 and use a different method.

Thing is: The downgrade does not work (Restore under iTunes): It keeps on cancelling on me and gives me the error (1) or (17). All I can do is (and I did), restore back to 1.1.2

    What can I do?

At the moment I really don't care anymore whether I wind up with 1.1.1 or 1.1.2.

    Thanks and greetz from Germany!

make sure you're in DFU mode when you downgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 or 1.0.2

Ok, that was the problem. Thanks. now I have another problem:

    PLEASE HELP

Ok, a few hours along the line, I have managed to do the following:

    1) 1.0.2., activated, jailbroken
    2) installer/bsd subsystem
    3) installed and successfully ran ANYSIM 1.2.1(u)!

    So I now have a working 1.0.2.

A restore to 1.1.1. does NOT work however! Error (17) is what I get. (iTunes 7.5, Independance 1.3 beta)

What do I do to successfully manage to put 1.1.2 on the iphone?

Baseband is 04.02.13_G, sucessfully ran Anysim 1.2.1(u), unlocked and jailbroken 1.0.2.
(originally US phone bought in September)

    THANK YOU!

    hallo
hast du das iphone wieder in dfu-mode?
wenn ja, probier es zu 1.0.2 zu restoren, and dann nochmal zu 1.1.1...

1st, find file 7.4.2 on net and download. Save do not run when downloading. Then uninstall 7.5, and really any Apple products that show-up. Then Install 7.4.2

When I got stuck with error, I used IBrickr to reboot my iphone, then jailbreakme, then updated to 1.1.2.
    Running 1.1.2 w/installer.

follow the link I posted, and read it, all files are also available via links on the post.

    Now the upgrade worked.

    What is NOT working now:

    1) Anysim 1.2.1(u)

    "was not able to ...."

Could this be because I already ran it successfully under 1.0.2?
And if yes, is that a problem, if I want to continue upgrading to 1.1.2.?

    2)
Oktoprep, it keeps crashing during install.

I did download MKNOD and put it under the /sbin folder via Cyberduck on the iphone, but when I try to type the proposed workaround

    /sbin/mknod ~/Media/disk c 14 1

under terminal or Putty, I get kicked off the phone.

Even within the iphone itself (underTerm-vt100): as soon as I type anything (even "cd"), it kicks me out and says "process ended".

So now I cannot even try to manually fix the Oktoprep (which I ran successfully once yesterday to get to an unlocked 1.1.2. (The problem was the SIM auhtorisation yesterday, which is why I had to go back to 1.0.2. today.)

    Any ideas?

I just want an up and running 1.1.2!
