Default Very New and Not so Good at computers HELP...
Hey everyone my name's Casey and I have an Iphone I just got last month.
My friend showed me his and how he jailbreaked it and all the cool programs on it.

I'd like to do it to mine I have 1.1.4 Iphone and I've been reading a lot of forums and different ways to do this but most of them are for the Ipod touch.

Plus I'm not good at this stuff and it seemed a little complicated and also dangerous. I really don't want to mess up my phone.

So can I ask what is the safest and easiest for a novice at this. I don't own a mac I have a PC and I'm not too Ipod or apple knowledgeable this is my first apple product but I love it and I'm going to upgrade to an Imac in the future.

Thats another question should I wait to jailbreak until I get a mac, can it be done from a PC? Or can it all be done on the phones web browser...

(see how dumb I am? ) lol

    Thanks to all
    Casey

Download ziphone, run the ziphone_gui.exe file inside the folder it makes where you downloaded it.
Click Do It All button and it will jailbreak, unlock, and everything you need
It also gives you the installer App, and I'm sure you can find a tutorial on how to use that on youtube VERY easily.
Bought iPhone from Mall at Millenia in Florida, took home to UK and unlocked, currently using o2 SIM card

No, do NOT unlock unless you need to. If your on AT&T just jailbreak.
Installer is a place where you download the applications and other things, its very easy to use, im sure you will get the hang of it.
But jailbreaking is not dangerous (unless its a malicious app, haven't had a big problem yet though) jailbreaking just modify's the root portion of your phone, a restore and its back to normal.
    So jailbreak for the win!

No no no, ZiPhone must be eliminated from the hacking scene! Best programs that are practically 100% safe are: iDemocracy, iLiberty, and Pwnage:

Step One: Download iLiberty from here

Step Two: Unzip the file. Install it, then open it.

Step Three: Click the Check box that says "Jailbreak" and the other that says "Setup Installer"

Step Four: Click "Go For It!" Follow the on screen instructions after.

Step Five: DONT TOUCH THE PHONE UNTIL ALL THE WORDS ONE THE IPHONE ARE GONE!!!
when itunes pops up during the process, just leave it alone.

    Step Six: Enjoy!!

Dont forget to hit the thanks button!

Don't get too happy too soon, lol, ZiPhone's 1pass jailbreak method can (and sometimes does) cause memory corrpution.

Does iliberty+, idemocracy 3, iplus, & winpwn allow downgrade then upgrade, jailbreak & unlock to anyfirmware or is it only for jailbreaking & unlocking 1.1.4?
