Default How to upgrade firmware from 1.1.2 - 1.1.4?
I have a UK bought O2 iphone that has firmware 1.1.2

It was bought pre-jailbroken (but not unlocked). I want to use ziphone to upgrade the firmware to 1.1.4. Is that possible? I cant seem to find anything that quite fits my criteria..
Please could somebody with experience of this mod tell me how to do this via ziphone?

The only program that can change the firmware is iTunes. You will lose all your apps and have to reload them all. Be sure to hit the RESTORE button in iTunes (not upgrade) so you can start clean and ziphone won't have any issues.

After ziphone you will connect your phone back to iTunes, be sure and set up as a NEW phone, not from back-up.

Thanks, I have seen one walkthrough that says to use the restore method in order to keep all contacts, pictures etc etc before you performed the upgrade. Why do you suggest to set up as new phone?

Before you restore you want to sync all your contacts/pictures/music to your computer. Then after you restore/jailbreak resync it all back on. The reason you set the phone up as NEW is b/c you have previously jailbroken your phone and if you restore from back up it can cause code conflicts from the previous jailbreak method and "ghost" files within Installer where the program "thinks" it has all the old apps installed when in actuality it doesn't anymore b/c you did a restore. Just set up as NEW... trust me :-)

Right. ok ... I'm really confused. lol!
So that will take me from 1.1.2 to 1.1.4, provided I shift+restore in itunes and select the 1.1.4 firmware file I downloaded?
