    Default Can someone explain SSH?
    Hey,

Well Ive never used SSH bit because I plan on jailbreaking, could someone explain what I have to do with this. All I've done was download open SSH on my phone; now what?

To connect to your phone you also need an ssh client on youre computer, with linux/osx just use ssh from the command line, with windows you can use putty http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~s.../download.html, the IP to use to connect to can be found in your iphone from settings/wifi, and the password to put into putty should be dottie or alpine, after connecting the guide youre following should tell you 100% of the commands you will need to know

If command line makes you nervous, use Transmit (I assume youre on a mac). You simply connect your phone and computer to wifi, and then in transmit, put in the IP, username (root) password (default: dottie) directory (/) port (22) and choose SFTP. That will give you access to the iphones main file structure.
I've got two states of mind, stoned and asleep

Not that hard on windows, I will write something up tonight, after class, to explain the process of ssh; or at least what I did.

I did it using touchfree v5 (command-line version) which wasn't too bad at all. v6 (GUI) didn't work for me.
