Default Storing HTML files on the iPhone....
Where would I do this so Safari could see them?

    I've searched the forums.

There are just some files I'd like to see without loading them.

I know people have done it, I've read about it. BUt they never say how or where their stored.

SSH to the phone, just where do they go from there.

    Default Lighttpd
There is a "web server service + a little configuration that allows Safari to open several document types. Works well making iPhone much more useful. You create your own directory structure and bring document files across with WinSCP or similar program. I'll find the link describing the process.
