Default I need help with a solar charger
Me and a friend purchased 2 solar chargers yesterday. They were about 50 dollars each. We talked to the person about it and he said they would defently work on a iPhone 3GS. 12 hours latter after letting them charge. They dont work. It says it has an output of dc5, 5v 800mA or 5.5v on the back. Are there any programs I could use to make it work. Or any wires I could buy or anything I could make at home or something???

you could hook them up to a 12V battery, then hook a cigarette adapter to the battery and plug in an iPhone car charger. i do this when i go camping, but i dont bring a solar pannel, the 12V lasts an entire weekend easily.

as for direct phone charging, forget it. you need a HUGE panel and most likely a small battery to store the initial charge
60% of the time, it works every time.

I heard they are ways to make this work? Like a special cord a converter of some kind?
