    Default iTunes 10.5
So I'm trying out iOS5 (without dev account) on my i4. I managed to use iTunes 10.3 to update to 5.0 but It doesn't recognise my phone now it's updated. I tried multiple times to install 10.5, I get no errors but when I clicking iTunes it tries to load then does nothing. I'm on vista 64bit
    Anyone having similar problems?

Are you sure its a 64bit version and not a 32bit? The 32bit version can be installed on a 64bit system but will not function properly or at all. A buddy of mine had this problem and turns out he installed the wrong version.

Even if you manage to get the correct version make sure your phone is registered otherwise it will be useless to restore to 5.0 since you will get no signal.

    No I'm 100% I have a 64bit machine
And no, I'm on 5.0 unregistered and all is fine, perfect signal I can even use iMessage. I just can't connect to iTunes without 1.5

If you're unregistered then you're probably using a wrong version of the beta seeing as ios 5b1 was the only one there was a bypass for to use an unregistered device. This was fixed in beta 2 and itunes beta 2 or higher will not work with ios 5 beta 1.

No you can bypass b2 and b3, it's only b4 that you can't hacktivate

It was my understanding that you couldn't bypass it and thats probably why you are having so many problems.

But if you can so be it. My advice would be to just pay for the developer account and register the device. The Mods will pretty much tell you the same thing. Just my opinion though
